Wieland Helicopter Technologies has recently achieved major progress with the development of its new Coaxial rotor system Helicopter. On a recent visit to both the UAE and Thailand, the response to the technology and investment interest was over-whelming.

Dubai is well placed to service the demand from the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Russia, India and Asia. The local investment community showed considerable interest in setting up a joint venture development to manufacture helicopters using Wieland Helicopter technology.
Interest in aviation related investments is extremely high at present. The new Dubai airport facility is expected to handle 120 million passengers and over 12 million tons of cargo each year. The targeted annual movements of the new “Dubai World Central International Airport” – a free trade zone is most impressive for light aviation – 60,000; for executive jets – 40,000 and for helicopters – 35,000.
During their visit to Thailand the directors uncovered significant opportunities for sale of; what is being referred to as the “WHT Evolution” design helicopters for use in Asia; particularly in China and India. The Global Airport Development Corporation expressed interest in helping WHT develop across their range of airport facilities in Asia and the sub-continent, with particular emphasis on facilities support.
The President of LINE Corporation Ltd., Mr. Thanongsak Hutanuwat, expressed interest in sourcing development funds from Thai and Chinese capital sources.
The directors of WHT plan to return to Dubai and Bangkok, within the next few months, to continue negotiations. We will be taking prototypes for presentation and demonstration. Our MD and Chairman, Mr. Peter Wieland, will be leading the delegations. WHT will be working with UAE and Thailand interests to formulate the most beneficial joint development proposal for our company.
Both Bangkok and Dubai offer great potential to grow sales, to develop the technology and to commercialise our unique helicopters.
