The airports are modern facilities and are home to over 200 thriving businesses ranging from large multinational manufacturers to small aircraft maintenance organisations.
Bankstown Airport Limited and Camden Airport Limited are wholly owned subsidiaries of BAC Airports Pty Limited. BAC Airports is a privately held company ultimately owned in equal parts by Colonial First State Investments Limited, Mirvac Developments Pty Limited and Westscheme Pty Limited.
Hoxton Park Airport is wholly owned by Mirvac Developments Pty Limited and is managed and operated by Bankstown Airport Limited. Hoxton Park Airport is held on a five (5) year lease which expires in December 2008. At the end of this lease, freehold title will transfer to the owner of the lease and they will determine the best use of the site, consistent with relevant State and Local Government planning laws.
The mission of the airport companies is to "meet the current and future aviation needs of Sydney and develop the property assets to attain maximum sustainable value."
The airport companies are commercial businesses who are maximising return on the assets of the airports, and operating the airports efficiently in their role as significant infrastructure assets. The management team is committed to: - Develop a corporate profile to support the airports community, commercial and operational interests.
- Develop the excess capacity at Bankstown Airport in the areas of freight and Regular Passenger Traffic (RPT), within the regulatory and policy framework.
- Actively expand the property portfolio.
The airport companies will also operate as good corporate citizens with a commitment to community and environmental issues, and to the delivery of safe and uninterrupted operations at the airports.
